In my latest tea break with Yamil, he let me know he'd tagged me a few days ago. What in the world is Tagged anyway? Well, apparently it is a curse laid on inocent-regular-sinners like me. It means I have to write in my blog 5 things that you might not know about me. I still have some reservations though, so English makes its appearance.
1. I've watched Dawson's Creek, a teen American soup opera, from beginning to end more than once. I've laughed, cried and been excited just by listening to the round-about dialogue that impregnates every single episode. I always felt like Joey.
2. One of the first books I read was Un grito desesperado by Carlos Cuauhtémoc Sánchez; back then I thought it was cinically moralizing but I liked it. Shame on me. Oh, also around that age I read a book called Cómo hablar de sexo a los niños by Dr. Ruth. No adult ever talked to me openly about sex, and my parents left that book in my room expecting me to learn and quiet.
3. I wrote a diary starting at age 11 and until I turned 16. I didn't write in it everyday, but when I did, I was so explicit about my quick crushes and disappointments that it still makes me blush with embarassment.
4. I've fallen in love several times in my life, but I've only loved twice. The first time I loved, the object of my affection was a man, as gay as could be, but I still never noticed. Terrible for my psyche. The second time I loved felt a lot differently, it still does.
5. My family always celebrated the Independence Day in Cuernavaca, Morelos. We would go downtown and buy traditonal hats, colorful fake eyelashes for the girls, and fake mustaches for the boys. I always wore a skirt, but I also wore a huge mustache to shock my parents and get people's attention.
That's pretty much it. So it is my turn... Francia and Vane you've been Tagged!

Shame on you if you liked Carlos Cuauhtémoc Sánchez? Well... I've read Quiúbole, by Jordi Rosado and Gaby Vargas... and found it pretty amusing! It's not literature, but it's amusing and it works... at least for boys, I guess. Oh yeah, I read the book for boys. Yeah me.
Well, girl, I've done it, thank you very much for amusing me by tagging others, ha! XOXO
Ps Yeah, shame on you for CCS...
